Coolpix 775

Does anymore know the maximum capacity in Coolpix 775 (capact flashcard)
as far as I know the maximum is 128 MB card ?

Quoting right from the 775 manual:

EC-CF 64MB

ED-DF96MB

"In addition to the memory cards listed above, the following memory cards have been tested and approved for use in the Coolpix 775:

SanDisk SDCFB series 16, 32, 48, 64, 96 and 128
Lexar Media 4x USB series 8, 16, 32, 48, 64, and 80
Lexar Media 8x USB serive 8, 16, 32, 48, 64, and 80
Lexar Media 10x USB series 128 and 160

(Unquote - left off MB after each number)

"Operation is not guaranteed with other makes of memory card. For more details on the above cards, please contact the manufacturer."

I read that someone testing the camera found it slow. It turned out there was a 256MB card in the camera, so he went to 128 and it worked fine.

I have used a ridata 128mb w/o any problems but hvae not tried larger.

I'm aware of what the user's manual states in regards to types and sizes of CompactFlash cards tested in the 775. But unless the 775 is radically different than all other cameras that use Type 1 CompactFlash cards there really shouldn't be a limitation as long as the card card being used is a type 1.

if i rember reading correctly at steves-digicams.com he used a 256meg card with no problems

I use a 128M Mr. Flash CompactFlash card without any problem. I did notice that it was slow until I format it.
