Photo Assignment of the Day. Not a contest.. just something to give us practice and keep our shooting skills honed. Ok.. for some of us the term "skills" is pushing it a little.

Subject: Shadows

Rules: It should be taken within the next 24hrs to get you out and off the computer.

Starting and Ending time: 18:00:00 Universal Time (13:00 EST)

Simply post your favorite shot(s) somewhere.

PS> I guess I am taking suggestions.. Today's subject is proof :^)

Here's mine. I used a white LED flashlight as the light source, of course the camera picked it up as blueish. My girlfriend should have one tonight since it was her idea for the subject.

Yes.. and thank her for that! She BETTER post one. It is easy to sit on the sidelines and yell out "Shadows!...Color!...Ducks!", a little more effort in participating.

This one combines shadows with texture. Shot today at the cemetary near where Sally used to live...Bob

Here's the same idea, except I user red, green, and blue LED flashlights as the sources. I used a long exposure for both images, but still had to raise the contrast with PSPro. The only other editing was size reduction.

Here are some assignments-

Night scene
sunset/sunrise
clouds
small DOF
cars
ice cream (wait cancel that, don't have to shoot it, just eat it.)
Portraits (don't know who will participate)
black and white
sepia
etc..

Did we do "reflections" yet?
Nope... Duck reflections... can't wait!

I have a lot of subject ideas, but once a day is more than enough! Hard to keep up as it is. Maybe if I slowed it down a bit. It would give more people a chance. Every third day? I dunno... I wanna see how it keeps rolling.

If you slow it down, I'd suggest every other day, but it's fun doing it every day. For now, it's fun the way you are doing it, except, sometimes I can't get it done before 1pm EST. You could do it every day, but give people 2 days to complete it, so they would overlap. But I'll let you decide.
