Older IBM Microdrive Compatible with 350D?

I have an older 1GB IBM microdrive that I bought originally for my G1 a few years ago. Anyone aware of compatability problems with it and the the XT? I get a CF ERR when I try to use it in the XT and then ERR 99 when I try to format it. I can access it tin a card reader on my PC and use it no problem in the G1. I've reformatted it in both but I get the same errors in the XT when I try to use it. I thought I had used it with the XT before but now I'm not sure - I only carry it as a just-in-case spare.

but im not sure if that was a IBM. I think it was..and it works for me..but slower then the ultra 2 but sandisk and the sandisk is cheaper too for 1 gig

I use an old IBM 340MB M/D and it works fine with my 350XT.
