A few more shots in my parting tours of the countryside around this part of Pennsylvania. Hope you enjoy them.

Had to throw in one black and white. (This was converted from a color picture. I used a "levels" adjustment level and a gradient level to adjust the levels (in black and white) in the red, green and blue channels. This seemed good at achieving the rather high contrast levels that I thought brought out the patterns nicely.)

Please let me know what you think.

Regards,

I love the first one, it is a real mood-setter. I could write a whole screen-play just from looking at the one shot. I can see a whole cast of characters in my head instantly from looking at the first shot.

Tell us more about your moving to Ohio. I hear there is lots to photograph there as well.

I think the first is best (you could frame it for your wall); but all make me feel like I'm home. There's a quiet beauty all around that many never notice.

Should be plenty to take pictures of in NE Ohio, so I won't disappear entirely. But I have lived here for 22 years, so it will be a little hard to say goodbye.

Given that I need to decide where to live, find a house, get my family moved, settle into a new position, etc., I don't know if I'll be able to devote as much time to my trusty FZ30 in the next couple of months.

I really like the second shot, to me that is Pa. I'm sure I could catch some trout on that stream. Ron P South western Pa.

Hope PA is a little greener when we go home for a visit in May. Keep posting as many of us enjoy your posts.

Cleveland ....sorry about that.

Just trying to learn and it's slow going!

..is my choice as well - nice composition, it might also be worth trying to put a black or white border around it as well to dress it up. #2 is also ok, but to me it seems a little bit ..."busy" perhaps with the tangle of bare branches..
....just my two bobs worth! Cheers , Ron
