Russia 2 Canada 0...Canada goes home

Well it was very taught games for Russian team and not only for hockey team. As I remember it was huge environmental pressure. I been in school this time and all I remember that instead of hotel players been placed in former jail or something to stay.

But as I said this win means nothing, read statistics and compare how many gold medals been made by Russian hockey team and compare it to US. One win you all remember ... FUNNY!!! :)))

Pronger must forgett that ALL TOP PLAYERS PLAY IN NHL !

I know that 98% of the Swedish players play in NHL and they doesn't get any more practice than Team Canada.
No other top team had time for practice either since 95% of their
players play in NHL, so that is a lame excuse.
From a Team Canada player:

"When you play six games in eight days, there's not a lot of time
to practice and get that cohesiveness," defenseman Chris Pronger
said after Canada scored in only one of its final 12 periods in
Turin. "If you look around at a lot of the countries, they are so
familiar with each other and the ice. It's tough to make that
adjustment in eight days."

First of all, I think your 95% is an exaggeration. Still, if it is
so lame, why does Pronger say this? I think most teams have at
least gotten on ice together before the Olympics begin.

Actually, it was Finland who beat US... as well as Cans...As well as Russians...
Face last two days, US & Canada lost two games in row to Russian
team ...
And forget about what happened 25 years ago. One time doesn't
count. :))
Today I hope we will get another gold in figure skating.

sound like lenny is holding a 26 year grudge :) face it, the
soviets, the best in the world, lost to a bunch of college kids....
Accidents happen :)

Even the best teams slip up once in a while. What about the loss of the NBA's best at last Olympics to Argentina? Or Andy Roddick losing in the first round of the US Open to an unknown? It was a nice moment, but it's not that big a deal :)

your boys got spanked..... maybe they can scratch out a bronze
Will see, Sweden lost 5:0 last game to Russian team....
Besides has nothing to do to the NHL loosers ...

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so

You only need to lose one match... But I was nervous at the end... It was the first 10 seconds of the third period and the last 20 seconds that made the difference...

I assume it was hard to be fa Finn today, but it was good game...

--jalle, a nervous but happy Swede

Why? We won silver medals in Olympics, that doesn´t happen every day...

It was a great tournament for us, probably best playing ever as we beat Czechs, Cans, Usa and Russians... That doesn´t happen every day either...

Congratulations for the gold medal... it was a great game indeed...
