For a long time WDYSPT Threads were done nearly every day. I always enjoyed them very much as well as all the informative discussions in this KMT forum. And I really hope that this forum will persist as it is as long as we happily use our dimage cameras.

There are periods when I am too busy to contribute but I try to visit this forum every day and read the threads...

Let me start this thread today with some pictures in my next post.

Regards, Ursula

Ursula,

great shots. I really like both. The first one, the bit of color from the leaves adds to the feel. The second one the two people walking is a great element.

Yes, the WDYSPT threads have fallen off. Much like most activity here and around the KMTF. A lot of the folks that used to post often have moved on (or had their cameras lost in shipping. lol)

I haven't posted in ages, so I'm a contributor to the problem, sorry. I do have a good backlog of RAW's to process, and I'm starting to make some progress since I started using RSE. It has given me the ability to sort thru hundreds of RAW's and quickly flag the ones which are worth PP. I can then batch process in the background while I make corrections to the next image. It seems to be a little more efficent than my prior workflow of opening each image in MRWformat, deciding whether to fool with it, then opening in PS and correcting each one individually.

Some folks have reported problems with their skin tones using RSE, but I haven't noticed that. What I do notice is that rendering of greens is a bit lacking, although the program seems to have ample lattitude in color and tonal adjustments. I then bring the TIFF into PS for the crop, levels tweak if needed, and output to JPEG.

Anyway, here's a couple - Next post:

Very interesting landscape. Looks like fun.

I love these unique rock formations in the first one. On my monitor, the right hand stack seems to have a green cast, whereas the one on the left is an even middle grey.

In the second, I like the way the rocks sloping down from left of frame lead my eye into the picture. I do wonder how it would look to move the horizon away from middle frame a bit, although the foreground elements definitely add a lot to the image........

Marc,

thank you for your comment. These were my first practical fog experiences with my A2 and I was pleased with the results...

Everytime I come to KMTF these days I look out for your "A1 saga" thread hoping to read about the positive end. And looking forward to your next picture in WDYSPT.

Ursula

I like your HDRI pictures. Beautiful landscapes. The second has a very mystic look, perhaps because of the white fringe against the dark sky at the right side of the big rocks.

I never tried HDRI before but it looks interesting something to explore.

Thank you for taking your time to look at my web pages and for your comment on my pictures.
