Canon sucks!

Your insensitivity to the anquish and pain that gadget geeks, cyber
pimps, and techno whores have experienced today is horrific. We
need a new camera each year like a junkie needs a fix. To mock our
addiction is akin to kicking an old lady in the shins. Shame on
you sir, shame on you!

Now I will be forced to use the money I had set aside for my new
30D on a new lens which will irrevocably force me to go outside and
take more pictures. Did you hear that? I will be reduced to taking
more pictures! Not holding and carressing the digital goodness of
a new DSLR with the waft of silicone and magnesium alloy permeating
my senses.

I curse you sir, and all like you!
I apologize! PLEASE lift the curse!

I knew that! Why do you think I'm going there for a week- besides the $20,000 they are paying me, via cashiers check, to help with the development of the new no ISO, no shutter speed, no aperture camera. This camera always takes perfect shots, has no noise (aside form some minor clicks and pops) and will sell for $99.95. It will never need an upgrade. I'm not sure how that will go over in this country.

The technology is out there. We are just being prevented from having it by Canon and Nikon, who actually own many of the patents. All this is based on the work of Harold Gonadias as spelled out in his book, unfortunately not published in this country or in English for that matter, "The Secret Life of Photons". They are smarter than we know.

Due to a real free market economy and lower labor costs, we will be able to develop this much easier in Latvia, or so I am told. I'm just waiting for the free airline ticket with extra meal vouchers and bonus casino chips. I will report on my progress.
Bon Voyage!

Always wanting more for less.

Face it, the 30D phases out the 20D and as the 2nd level model in
Canon's line of digital SLR world, it has more features than the
20D had. Larger LCD screen, spot metering (which is VERY important
that they finally included it), ISO displayed in viewfinder when
you half-press. > > >
the iso button> > > duh?
Are you questioning your own mentality here? Yes, the ISO displayed IN THE VIEWFINDER. The 20D does not.

Have you even picked up a 20D in your life? Something tells me by your previous remark that either you haven't or you're an extreme noob or troll.

get a shorter fuse, calling me a noob or troll

i agreed with your post, did you even reed that part?

the iso is not displayed --all the time--,
IMO it's use is: that you are --constantly-- aware of the iso

using various camera's during the last 30 years (from the age of 16) and still using most of them, I want real life advantages, and not "folderstuff" like iso in VF after pushing someting (still can't get THAT button right all the time without looking at it), oké?

YMMV

BTW I'm using all kind of digic stuff, the 20D is one of them

almost all the upgrades in the 30D are very usefull, but not enough to trade in my 20D

There's no telling what the extra MP is good for, if Canon was so worried about adding noise to their 1.6x, then perhaps the smart thing they could have done was incorporate a 1.3x sensor to bump the MP a notch. At least 20D users will have a reason to upgrade, and it would definately have helped lead down the path to Full-Frame overtime.

I'm sure the Canon EOS 5D has a lot of 20D users enticed (myself included) of course once the high dies off, reality will knock us back down.
