Did I sharpen too much?

Just a tad for my taste but nice shot anyway.

I used a nice



free program from google called Picasa2. Here is another one.
 
Zoomed in twice (400% I suppose) and the sharpening artifacts are barely visible ... this is perfect IMO.

This 2nd. photo is very nice. I like the effect you have achieved with the soft pastel colors and the black & white.

To my eyes the sharpnes is this photo is right on. Here again it's a subjective thing and the flower does not have that brittle look.

Seems pretty clear from reading the range of other responses here that you're doggone close to optimal. To my eye, taste and monitor, I'd say you've gone just a shade further than I would've, but that's pretty subjective. Definitely not "oversharpened".

Sharpening aside, a very pleasing image.
