I am honestly not up on my medium format digitals, but I wonder, too, why Hasselblad would go with a rectangular sensor. If you've ever done wedding work, you'll appreciate the sheer pleasure of never having to rotate the camera for a vertical. Of course, when you are not under the gun as you are at a wedding and you can take your sweet time to compose the shot as you want, then maybe rotating the camera is not that big a deal. But having used the square format for so long now and gotten accustomed to it's convenience, I guess I've become spoiled.
