Hello!

I got problem with my FL50-flash on the E-1. The red-light autofokus-helper doesn't seem to work. At least I cant tell it - even in dark or por-contrastet invironment.

Can anyone tell me why???

Allan

I think you may need to configure the camera to use the focus assist lamp. It's somewhere in the E1 menus, if memory serves.

The AF illuminator must be turned on in the camera (P. 55 of the English language E-1 manual) and the flash custom setup must be followedt to set ILL=A and CLP=On in accordance with the FL-50 manual. You may also find this guide to flash use of help:

In addition, make sure the FL-50 is in TTL mode and not auto (been there), and also that the FL-50 is properly seated in the hot-shoe so all the pins are connected (done that).

Thank everybody!

The fokus-help is in use once again. Good to have some experts on the line...

Best regards
