Selling D70, "was" considering a d200, should I do it? or not?

We saw all the same hysteria when the d70 over "moire". How
much do you worry about moire on your d70?

Banding is a non-issue, blown out of proportion by Canon's FUD
generators.

Jim
So I was happy with the enhancements and features of the D200,
happy enough to want to purchase one and sell my D70... However
with all the fuss on here over banding and bad customer service I'm
somewhat stuck.

How many people are really experiencing banding, how bad is it,
when does it happen? Anyone have any great photos to share, and
what is your experience with the cam, over all happy?

Thats my cue, Ken Rockwells solution for banding which I find particularly endearing, dont shoot at 400 asi and or delete the image, thanks for help Ken
we knew you would cut to the bone.

I had only a D70, then only a D200, then neither, and now back to only a D70.

Although my D200 didn't have banding, it had many hot pixels I took it back, I wanted to exchange it, but they had no more in stock so I returned it for a full refund, less shipping - I considered it a $17 rental for 3 weeks - not bad. I'm tired of sending my gear back to Nikon (that's where my D70 was for the last 8 weeks) that I decided not to bother sending the D200 to Nikon but rather just return it and go back to my D70 for a while.

The camera is a nice step up from the D70, interestingly it seems a smaller step up to the D200, than going the other way where it seems a large step down.

At this point, now I have my D70 back, I'm going to hang on for a while - probably 3-4 months until all the problems are worked out.

Anyway - don't sell the D70 first, check the D200 out, if it's fine, then sell the D70.

Roland.

And already you want to upgrade? ;-)

Man
Out of the 2,000 shots i've taken I think I have noticed extremely
minor moire in 3
