I've been doing a lot of research on DCs and so far the G2 fits my bill. With all the great information and comments I've read in this forum, I feel pretty comfortable with the choice. Now I've just got to buy it. I've seen prices on pricescan of anywhere from $589 to > $800. I know the cheaper ones are gray market. I've found some at Royal ($627), ZeroDelivery ($659), and Buydig ($699) that I either believe or have confirmed to have full US warranties and all the normally included pieces. Do any of you have any comments on these vendors, or have recommendations of others? Thanks for the help!!!!

I paid 645 last tuesday for a G2 from http://www.digitaldealz.com
Their price is now 585.
Its not grey market or at least mine wasn't. I received it Friday and everything was in the box. If you want to order from any of those companies I suggest that you call and order over the phone. They all send you an e-mail after you order online to call them anyway so why waste your time? You need to know if they have them in stock anyway. Don't trust the site just because it says that its in stock, it means nothing from what I've heard. You should call and verify that it is in stock and that its a US version. If it isn't then don't order.
I think that what they call "European Models" are not really European but probably stolen. Thats why you don't get the warranty papers. Do you really think that they don't have warranties in Europe and the camera's all come without the box/software/memory etc?

Did you have any problems ordering from them over the phone? Hard sell on accessories? The situation is almost always the same with these types of merchants from what I've read on resellerratings.
I was going to order one from dbuys.com, but the price at digitaldealz is much better.

Yeah, they will try to hardsell but tell them that you already have all the accessories that you need since you are upgrading from a G1 
If that doesn't shut the guy up then call back and talk to someone else. You can't beat the price since I have proof that they are selling the real thing in a box. If you have to then call back several times. Or try to get them to make you a deal on some compact flash or something instead of buying things that you don't want or need.

Another question, how long did it take for them to ship your order once the salesguy stopped with the hard sell? Comments on resellerreview say that often they won't ship for weeks if you don't buy the accessories.

Blah, I just called them and they said the 585 price is for the grey market intl version, US is 715.

Maybe you should call back and talk to someone else. My camera came with everything that it was supposed to. Memory,Remote,battery,RF unit, cable to plug into TV and all the software.

I tried calling back twice and each time I waited with their on-hold-music for 10 mins before their phone system hung up. (Maybe they have caller ID and keep track?) However, the first guy that I did talk to said "Yes, we have both versions," when I asked whether they sell the US version or International. When he looked up the price he said $715, so I brought up the web page and he immediately said "The international version is $585," (even before I could mention the online price).
Oh well, I just ordered from dbuys.com for 731.90 shipped. Definately not as good of a deal as yours but dbuys has good ratings and I didn't have to deal with any runaround on the phone.
I am still envious of your price though!
