Do you use the PhotoBase program that came with the Z5?

And if you do, have you ever had it fail to load and install? and what did you do?

I used it on my old computer, and tried to install it on my new one, but it didn't work, the installation failed.

Suggestions????

(I had really liked the program.)

That software the Panasonic bundles with their cameras is a joke. If you can get it to work reliably, the features are really poor. If you want something better and free try Google's Picasa http://picasa.google.com .

It is much better and has some nice printing capabilities as well.

Oh, that's interesting. I'll go check it out. Though I rather liked the PhotoBase thing. It did a huge version of the photos....

Thank you. :)

Wow, that's pretty amazing. It' hasn't finished finding my pictures. but I think it's doing good. I hope it doesn't use all my memory...

I love the Google Task thing on the side of the screen, but I think it weirded out my machine... so I uninstalled it.

Thank you again. I can't wait to see how the zoom element works.

:)

You know what, that is a really amazing program. I love how it organizes the images.

Though, I must say, I wonder what it uses to decide what a photo is.... it included a few drawings.... and one smilie...

It uses the folders you specify him.

Does it open the RAW files from Panasonic cameras? And can Picasa convert them to JPEG or do noise reduction?

Now RAW for the Pany's aren't supported yet. Thought Google does release minor updates several times a year with new camera support. I would suggest you e-mail them and require Pany support.
