**Show me your best**

Not just a single one........

Hi everybody,

Can you dig trough you pics and pick out the one (not easy, only
one) picture that you thinks is the best that you took? The one
that shows the very best your camera can take. As long as you have
a Canon, show me (us) your best.

I'll start (since I only had my camera for 2 weeks, I'm sure the
best is yet to come!)

Shot with G2 1.3sec shutter:

Some very nice pictures, lots of variety. Here's my contribution

Parlee Beach, New Brunswick, October (would be packed in July, Aug)
P, 1/200, F4, Auto WB, ISO 50, poarizing filter, no post-processing

Very interesting photo...something we don't very often. Very well done.

Very good picture, Mark. Composition, colours & dynamic range. Especially like how you put the near bridge in the foreground rather than taking the picture from there.

Thank you Don,

I am glad that you liked the Photo.
2. Of all those I looked at, I liked yours best :-)

Lovely photo.

Don

P.S. Regretfully, there are no cash or merchandise prizes
accompanying this award.
It is all done for the Praise, and the love of the art..

Daron

This is the first picture I ever took with my G1 - but still my favorite.

Great pics everyone!

Here's one of mine...

This has been edited somewhat due that I shoot with my G1 at -1/3 exposure and then use PS to brighten it up again plus a wee bit of unsharp mask.

Regards, Carl

Exposure bracketing is one of the advanced camera features of the G-1/2 where it takes 3 shots at the exposure compensation values you set. Here is Phils description from the glossary on this site:
http://www.dpreview.com/learn/Glossary/Exposure/Auto_Bracketing_01.htm
Also read the G-1 or G-2 review for a description of this feature.

I used an exposure compensation of -1 Ev with bracketing values of + - 2/3 Ev. So every shutter press gave me 3 shots, -1 2/3, -1, and -1/3 Ev.
Regards, Mike K

Joe
Everything except the panos were shot with
bracketing, so over 1000 RAW images over 3 short visits were taken,
and the best of the 3 exposures was saved upon evening review. > >

These are my favorites from my first week with my G2(first camera I have that does more than point, flash, and shoot) I still have much to learn about photography...

Question to the gurus: how do you prevent your sky from overexposing when you're focusing on the building, or the building from being too dark when you're focusing on the sky?
