From Spain I have been commenting you to you that for a month that I am aimed in a store hoping that d200 brings one to me nikon. The distribution is a chaos. The stores do not have d200. Reason why I can observe in the USA passes something similar. For example B&H does not sell the Nikon D200 by the page Web. Nikon has to me very. Greetings.

The sentence structure is similar to the OP's (most likely) native Spanish.

Ok. In Spain d200 are problems of distribution of the Nikon. Also are problems of distribution of the Nikon d200 in the USA?

Many D200s have been delivered in North America. I think distribution is OK here.

Distribution may stop while Nikon looks at the banding problem however. At least it should. (Just my opinion).

Yes, it's pretty much the same everywhere. It's not unusual for demand to outstrip supply with any new camera in the first few months following it's initial release. Also considering that many people have been waiting years for an upgrade to Nikon's "midrange" DSLR offerings, demand for this camera has been especially high.

This will all settle down before too much longer. In the mean time, you might want to check with the shop (in Spain) where you've been hoping to purchase from in order to see if they might be able to add your name to a waiting list of buyers so that you'll have a better chance of receiving one when some more do arrive.

Good luck!

Yes - it must exist, because people have it and have posted pictures, diaries etc.

No - it apparently does not exist in the supply chain. I phoned around in Germany and was laughed at in my attempt to get one during February. Availability was generally unknown, the only guesses I heard were that it will certainly take longer than 4-6 weeks before the situation get clearer. As many salesman in the shops were also puzzled, I guess that Nikon takes the time to fix the banding issue.

The situation seems clearer with the 18-200 - waiting time for that is currently 8-10 weeks :-((

En los EEUU, hay problemas, porque no hay bastante D200 cameras. Hay mucha gente que quiere comprar el D200, y hay problemas con "banding".

El D200 esta en tiendas de Internet, pero no mas cantidades.

In the United States, there are problems because there aren't enough D200 cameras. There are many people who want to buy the D200 and there are problems with banding.

The D200 is in Internet stores, but not in big quantities.
