Waiting... waiting....

Hi Ulysses,

For me, the "lesson" of the past month has been that the elusive and vague "things" that I always seem to be waiting and yearning for are right in front of me to cherish and enjoy, if I would only stay in the moment and open my eyes to their precious gifts. The most valuable gift is the connection and interactions with my loved ones and others close to my heart. Way too often, I have taken their presence for granted, ignoring their availability while I "waited" in vain for other more "important THINGS" to fulfill me. At least for now, my priorities in this regard have changed a bit, as I acknowlege the terrible and swift loss of those continued connections for many among us, and moment to moment count my blessings.
Beautiful photo.... thanks for sharing! Curt A.
We're all waiting, it would seem. :-)

Nice blue window frames....
I'm glad somebody else said it first. :)
Heheh... funny.

What's funnier is that the room really is a sort of teal/aqua color. That's the way the windows really look as they sort of reflect the room interior color. This was a flash photo that actually worked.

We're decorating the room (a guest room), and its color and feel are going to be meant to evoke a sort of cruise-like atmosphere.

Sorry to disappoint you guys.

Must be waiting for someone
to show up? Keep posting - taking those fantastic photos and using
that fantastic new camera!
Heheh... I saw her there in a room that we never allow her to go into for fear that she'll tear something up. I think she was just enjoying watching the leaves fall down from the trees outside. Or maybe she just wanted a good place to sun herself. :)

That's exactly what I thought. You know that happened to one of our two cats as well. It's amazing how if you leave a door open to an area that these critters have never gone in or not allowed in what can happen!

I think the cat is missing his/her last home.

Nice pic Uly!.
She ought to be glad for where she is NOW.

Her last owners left her out in the snow. We found her in an animal shelter, and she was scheduled to be put to sleep in the next two days. That's all my wife needed to hear.

We named her Tippi because the two middle toes on her left paw had to be amputated due to frostbite. She tip-toed around on three white paws for about the first two months we had her.

She's fine now. Kind of klutzy (and not b/c of the paw... it's just her ), but when she's sitting still, she can look gorgeous. :)

Wow...who could have guessed the story behind it.....very fortunate cat indeed!!!.

Good for you Uly.

Guys Guys,

She's spotted the FedEx driver bringing the prepaid return box from Sony to collect the DSC-F707 for the 3 day turn around service that will be offered to fix the bad WB logic control chip they found in 7 out of every 10 cameras sold.

Ya just don't know

Don’t mean to cause any inflammation on this enjoyable lighthearted thread. But just can’t help to think that of all his posts in the STF most of them are mainly negative to the F707. If someone points out a possible defect he won’t hesitate to support him, and I see no such support from him if someone praises the F707. To be frank, it’s the statement from the following thread that made me boiled:

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1009&page=1&message=1619336

“Heck, from what I've seen, I might agree with that. Perhaps on average they're better photographers, too? ;)

After seeing all those impressive shots in the STF (the Seattle night shots, the indoor mall shots, the fall colour shots, the mid-west waterway shots, the Chicago shots and the shots made by Uly, Pondria, Ron and Andrea, just to name a few), any statements that make any implication that members of the STF are inferior photographers is very hard to swallow.

Anyhow, very nice picture, Uly, your normal standard I believe.

Thanks for the complements. And I'm sure the other guys would say the same. We each just enjoy our cameras. And we tend to do so without a lot of the comparisons because in the end it's about the photographer and about the subjects you're looking at through the lens.

Bryan is a great guy. He has opinions, and he backs them up with his images and the data that he works hard at compiling. No one has to agree with all of his conclusions, but probably we can each respect him for the time and effort he's put into all of this.

In some ways, he may even want to like the Dark Angel.

I say give him some more time and the opportunity to shoot with one for a few more months. Sometimes you just have to let the cake rise and bake. :)

Heheheh... yes.... I do. And you're bad. :-]

BTW, Tippi just isn't that smart. She's simply looking at leaves, or more likely nothing in particular. We love her. But she's plain dumb. She's one of those vacuous beauty types. Nothing happening upstairs. A circus tent without a big ring. OK, you get my point. Don't mean to be mean to her. We love her.

She just wouldn't know about FedEx, though....
