Kids do not try this at home. I...well...I spilled on my camera. I know, I know. Anyway it wasn't much, but I had to make sure nothing got inside. Thankfully none did. But I figured since i'm here...

Thanks for the inside shot Shay! Maybe you could check the cables and insure that all connectors are seated and all that while you are in there and see if maybe the BFS symptoms might disappear... I doubt it but since you have it opened already its worth it to give it a good eyeball.

Nice inside info! :-)

Hehehe yes while I was poking around in there I saw a bank of 8 switches:
1) BFS: on - off
2) Reds: normal - extra crispy
3) Focus: Spot on - Randomize
4) Flash Open speed: Scary - Explosive
5) Manual focus: Easy to tell - Impossible to tell
6) Self destruct: enabled - disabled
7) Saturation control: enabled - hidden
8) Noise: Like UHF - Clear

Not sure what to set them to, so I just left it alone ;-) Maybe Sony will come out with a firmware upgrade for the manual describing where to set these switches. Until I think I may return the camera until the manual coughs up more information.

Yes the camera is fine by the way.

I wouldn't mind that, no this was taken with my ever trusty if dated Fuji Finepix 2400 with a diffuser (paper) on the flash so the details would not be too blown out.

Notice how natural the colors are in this indoor flash photo of the
707. So, how do you like your G2?

So, the EVF and the battery take up most of the spaces ;-(

Hahaha

Shay - when inside my s75 I noticed the dame bank of dipswitches except mine appears to have one other

ESO on - off

I did some research and apparently ESO stands for "Equipment Superior to Operator" Mine was set in the "off" position, but apparently a few units are leaving Japan set to "on".

Glad to hear your camera is fine.
