All of your portraits are executed very well, it seems we are repeating ourselves when we comment.

I'm curious, why don't you ever post anything other than portraits? I'd love to see some of your other work.

All I see is these beautiful portraits of beautiful people.

NOW, I want to see you take some portraits of ugly people (like me) and make them look good.

BTW, you know we still love you ;-) (in a positive masuculine way).

ROTFLMAO

LOL LOL

The manual for the E300 states in page 209,

" This is just a tool, specially designed to take pictures...it doesn't perform MIRACLES ! "

Thanks AndreK!

Sounds like a good idea, a variation on the technique...that model is perfectly lit.

I have to give a try, in the meantime , thank you very much for your comments!

Nice Shots Carlos,

My next upgrade for my e 500 was going to be the 14-54 lens. But now looking at what that 50 mm/f2 can do i must reconsider.

Between your pics and OaklandWoody pics that lens seems awesome. The 14-54 lens and 50mm/f2 lens are the same price here in Canada.

I checked out your other pics on your site and enjoyed looking. About 3 years ago we flew into Reno and drove along the coast. We ended up abut 30 miles from San Fran before we headed back to Reno. What a place to see, the redwoods, Lake Tahoe and the ocean.

Don.

Carlos,

I love your shots, but I think you're spending an unhealthy amount of time with that 50mm. :-)
I miss your advocacy for the "lowly lens kit."

Chris

What a compliment, I am glad you liked the shots, there are so many I haven't posted...at the end of the month, my family will spend the weekend in Tahoe, we will find a place where we can slide down the hill, so my daughter can just have a ball. Of course, I will be shooting those fantastic views from the vista point of Emerald point and other places...

Thanks for looking Don!

Carlos

I enjoy looking at your family pics - you bring such a sense of love to them.

Is tat the Warden in the middle one? (if you were my husband, I'd stamp on your toes and hit you over the head for calling me that).

LOL LOL

I'll make it a point of my next post will be with the "lowly lens kit" (40-150mm). I used it this past week, shot some portraits of a friend of mine, is just as good.

Wait around April, my next purchase will be the 1.4TC couple with either lens should be just dandy, specially with the 50mm, but believe me I haven't forgotten the 40-150mm or the 14-45mm, they both get used.

Thanks for looking!

Carlos

LOL LOL LOL

Believe me Flick, she does that for less stuff...mine or her nearest relative is a few hours away, it's just the three of us entertaining ourselves, we have a good time together.
Thanks for starting my day with a smile...
:-)

Carlos
PS.I hope you are not under the weather any more.
