Basically, you dip thinly sliced meat (fresh beef and fish), shrimp, crab and lobster etc. into a "hot pot" for a few seconds. And then you dip the cooked meat into your favorite sauce and eat it. In this way, the meat tastes very tender and delicious. Inside the hot pot (boil water), you can add different types of soup base, vegetables, tofu and dry mushrom etc.

This is a very popular dish in many countries. Use your own imagination.

I would suggest to buy her a camera kit, I like her pics more than yours!
:-)
I'm only kidding of course...but I think she shows she can use that thing.

Thanks for sharing the pics and the recipe.

I am not surprised that my wife has more photography talents than I. Even my kids have more artist DNAs.

Maybe it was the camera that did the trick. I suggest you dump your Ghetto camera on eBagy and get a real machine as I did. LOL.

but I will be there...I live in Burnsville.

Nice shots, your wife did a nice job. She/you should keep an eye for Lory's post about her food shooting experience this past weekend.

I'll have the #3 med rare please.

These sure do capture the experience of the preparation of food. Very artistic as well as accurate.

I'll post a few food shots from the Gaylord of India photos as soon as I PP them.

married to a Japanese woman? How wonderful, and how lucky you are to be exposed to perhaps a daily diet (or weekly at least) of Japanese cuisine. I'd have to say that I prefer a Japanese diet over anything else (I am well known in the various Japanese restaurants in this neck of the woods). Looking at these pictures is driving me up a wall, and as soon as I'm finished perusing the web here (in another hour or so), I'm heading down the road to the Mt. Fuji Japanese restaurant. I'm going to start with a Shrimp Tempura appetizer, followed by a massive Sushi lunch, and who knows what else. Damn you, I was hoping to back off on the food schtick for awhile, but images such as these prevent me from practicing any type of self discipline when it comes to Japanese food :-)
