I've been doing lots of reading on this forum, and absorbing tons of good info, and making friends.

I miss hearing from RIVERFOOT. Anyone heard from her? Hoping that the new year started off well for her.

And thanks everyone for all the wonderful advice for newbies like me that got a new camera for Christmas.

Just trying to learn and it's slow going!

She cropped up several days ago in the Fuji forum...posted a very moving account of the tragedy in her life not long ago. It was met with an outpouring of responses. I haven't seen anything from her since and was concerned myself.

Guys- I hope she is not angry with me for this. I have been keeping up with her off line.

It's a rough week for her with some of those other issues-but I am sure she will be back....

The kindness of folks here has been of more importance than you could know...

I will be sure to tell her to find this post and how kind of you to ask!!!

Linda, thanks so much for letting us know. I was worried about how she was spending this week. I sure do miss hearing from her on this forum. Tell her we are thinking about her and missing her.

the river......i have been very tired and sad....i went to the doctor yesterday and found out i have diabetes......hmmmm....fun news...well i wanted something different in my life and I GOT MY WISH.....needles and injections.....mmmmmm....not quite what i had in mind....but i have accepted it...today i got news that my nieghbor has a tumor in his head....a little freaked out.....but trying to keep calm....
this time is always hard as some may have read my post about suicide.....

well my blogging has gone wild......i have people leaving comments that they were going to kill themselves and thanked me.....i have people telling me they were going to kill themselves and now they are mad at me because they cannot do it because they read my blog.....and see the devastation left behind.....a bit overwhelming....but i'm dealing with it one person at a time.....

some just need to tell someone about their experience because no one wants to talk about it with them....

i have to admit i miss you guys and i wiil do better....i am so sorry if anyone was worried.....i'm just kind of taking it slow like a river.....
thanks for the emails that filled my box.....it felt real warm and cozy...lol
take care....and fill the box if you ever need too.....

awwww... CJ... we've missed you. So glad to see you here .

Better to get your foot stuck in the river than in that big 'ole gator's mouth LOL

Been thinking about you this week and hoping you were okay.

Diabetes is not fun, but can be managed. But you know that!!

Don't be a stranger around here. Pop in if only for a quick wave and hello......

We've got photos to shoot so we can catch up with the experts around here LOL

Ahem--will anyone get that one???:-)

New developments at her end and a rub at my sugar addiction!!

My New Year's resolution includes:

More Sugar and take out the FZ5 more. It sat while I was testing the LX1 and F11. Got the battery re-charged for it...:-).

Now I have to find some creative shots of 'sugar'...

in my eyes, you are lucky. I wish I could swap your diabetes for my 'lactose intolerance' :(

Any hint of milk. cream or dreivates has me rocketing for the next loo. As it is not mentioned on the ingredients yet, the first signI made a wrong pick is, that Jack the Ripper has a training round on me, and I can only hope, that there is a loo close by.

I loved, love icecreams, but the price (pain) I have to pay? Not worth it. But I have found out, that the 'Michoacana' shops in Mexico sell water based icecream (nieves), and I relish my stays in that beautiful country, with at least a daily visit to one.

You have to take your shot, you can at leat control it. I do not have the option. Had been to a meeting in France last year, and just the bread had me trailblazing to some porcelain receptor. When someone is knifing down my lower abdomen, it is high time with only minutes (seconds) to spare.

Mousse chocolat, beyond my reach, as some of my (former) favorites, as 'witloof'.

Cooked chicore, wrapped with salmon or ham, covered in a 4c cheese sauce. If my cravings are getting the better, you can guess where I will have my dinner.

I'm seeing the bright side of it. No trouble with constipation ever :)

Stay away from cast iron frying pans!

RF, you must be some kind of special person!! Hang in there. It sounds to me like you have already been a significant person in many lives. Never underestimate your value to the people you come in contact with. God bless you.
