EN-EL1 compatable battery??

I bought a 995 from Dbuys.com.

along with it I ordered a:
EN-EL1 battery

64mb CF "high Speed" and Filter Kit (uv,polorized, and a third I can't think of at the moment) The combo for $70

instead I got a
EN-EL1 compatible battery made by some no name company
and the 64mb CF with one UV Filter!

I am not happy that I agreed to get a deal for the combo of the 64mb CF with Filter KIT for a total of $70. But ended up with only one filter!

Also, I am wondering if a "compatible battery" is every bit as good as the real thing?

So I am calling Dbuys tomorrow....

Should I return all 3 accessories and go elsewhere?

Are the filters really necessary? Seems like they should be cheap, but can't seem to find a good price on them. I mainly want the UV to protect the lens from scratches.

Any advice in dealing with these shisty bastrds?

If they give you trouble, call your credit card company. They will cancel the sale. You will probably have to pay shipping. spike
 
Just one thing. The real EN-EL1 has a very low capacity, only 650mA.

Check the capacity of your new battery. Maybe it is much better than the Nikon version.

I'm at work, so I can't check right now...

I believe that the battery I received is a 750mA.. Is this the only deciding number?

I have a 1000mAH EN-EL1 from batterybarn.com. It works like a charm and last about 30% longer than the standard Nikon 650mAH.
 
I just called and informed them of my problems...

They said it was a shipping mistake.

I told them I wanted to return all accessories.

Turns out the battery, like the other replys have indicated, lasts longer than nikons. And as a solution to not shiping the filter kit, he agreed to send me the filter kit as originally promised and an EXTRA battery. Free of charge. Free of shipping

I am happy and would recomend Dbuys.

Thanks again for all your input.

now its time to quite complaining and go shoot :)

The ol' "shipping mistake" I beleave this is rip-offf rule #7 and the ol' "we'll give you more stuff for free" (but you never get it, just a stall so after 30 days you can't dispute your CC) this I think is rip-off rule #10

I just recieved the filter kit and extra battery in the mail today...
