Does anyone know of a reliable online shop to buy from - or a good store in the Boston area? I'd like to pick up an LX1 for my trip to Australia and Hawaii but don't trust all the deals on eBay. Any suggestions would be great.

B&H Photo has very been reliable for me. I've been doing business with them for the past decade or so.

BuyDig.com has also been very reliable for me in the past six-seven months. I bought a black finish LX1 from them for $490, I received it two days after the order was placed.

Just ordered my LX1 from BuyDig for 458.00. I previously purchased two other cameras from them and was very satisfied with turn-around, packaging and shipping. Have never tried to return anything to them yet (knock on wood).

Good Luck. I'll let you know when I receive my shipment. Hopefully before Christmas.
 
Buydig said they had the silver in stock last week, so i ordered it. My order went to 'shipping' later that day, but they didn't even have it in stock. They'd have sat on the order for ages, if not for me emailing them and goin wtf. They eventually canceled it.

B&H came through w/out issues at least.
 
For sure.... they let you order even if they really don't have stock (happened to me on an lx1 last week). At least they replied to my email eventually and canceled the order.

Return policy sucks too.
 
B & H has always been wonderful...

For some reason, sine I heard excellent things about Vann's and read their history, I ordered my LX1 from them Sunday. It is due here tomorrow. So far they have been very, very lovely.

I also have had nothing but good experiences with Buydig.com...And J & R.
