--I just picked up these 3 Books for the holidays as gifts to me..lol

I found them on SALE at my local Bookstore...Waldens, Barnes and Nobles.

A History of Photography for only $10!!

"The Photo Book" By Phaidon

Over 500 Pages of Quality Photographs of Famous Events, Historic Moments and Classic Photos

Each Photo is discussed in detail to give it's background in how and why they were made.
The Cost? $12.50!

And finally stumbled across this one.

"Photo Icons" Also by Koetzle published by Taschen
350 Pages of Photos from 1827 until 1991 by Famous Photographers

A wonderful in depth look at some very famous Photos by very famous Photographers
All for only $10!!

For 32.50 and tax I picked up 3 fantastic books on the history of Photography to ad to my Library.

Go grab these, you will love them! I am.

...and I agree absolutely that they are a STEAL for that price. I actually had to do a double-take when I saw the first of the three in the "Bargain Bin" just sitting there (actually a whole stack sitting there!) for $9.99.

I was both happy and sad: happy to be given a chance ot get something like that virtually for free; sad because it shows that such books are, as a whole, not terribly "valued" by the culture at large.

Wonderful, wonderful books!
