After two hours of shooting,
I discovered my d200 is now missing
the little rubber cap that goes over the 10-pin
remote release port.

It must have popped off at some point
and it's nowhere to be found.

Has this happened to
anyone else?

Does the cap press in or screw in?

Sorry to hear that Roman.

May they R.I.P.

P.s. Are your capless ports rusty yet or do they withstand the elements, cap or no cap?

my d2x lost the 10pin x sync cap in the very first day. costed me HK$20(US$ 2.5) for a replacement.

for the d2x there is a hidden cap storage space in the AV out/DC in rubber cover.

I've been buying Nikon cameras since the 80s, and I don't think I've ever had one that didn't lose the terminal cap in the first month.

Might be an idea for me to remove mine now, and keep them in the box.

Because in about 5 years Nikon may bring out a D300, and I might want to sell this amazing camera.

The way I see it, if I got 3 years of happy use out of my D100, Hell how many years am I going to get from this beast?

Box it up and send it to me immediately or there will be consequences!

Does anyone know where you can buy a replacement cap
for the 10-pin remote shutter release port for less than
$14.99?

Thanks!
