Can any one suggest a good, nice looking web image generator software.

I am very bad with html, and because of many images needed to update regularly I am looking for something that is easy to use but does not compromise quality.

I have looked at fotostation, autographic html, Web Album Creator. But none of these produce a good looking page.

Hi,

I've been looking at a few of the photo web album creation utils as well.

By far the best that I've seen is the TwebAlbum, It's a great program and the customer service is second to none!.

My favourite is IDS (Image Display System) developed by John Moose. Here is the URL:

Enjoy!

Qtiet,

I have not yet tried IDS but intend to do so and have downloaded a copy today.

Meanwhile I have found Thumber quite outstanding value for money at $18 given the range of features it provides, including very flexible but sophisticated web page generation.

See these threads to which I have responded in the past:

Hope this helps,

Thanx again Robin,

Yes, this program surely looks promising. I will have a go with it.

Take a look at PhotoThumb for Windows. Many nice features, yet easy
to use.

You'll find sample output and a free trial version at

http://photothumb.com/

Hope this helps.

Jarle, photothumb is surely very easy to use. It is limited to table form only. I don't think it can handle frame creation. So far, I still think fcoder autographic html is the best because of that flexibility.

qtiet

Jarle:

In your upcoming version of Photothumb will there be more than the table form for layout options?

I am considering other layout options for a future release, but haven't decided anything yet.

What other layout options would you like to see?

Jarle:

Acutally I bought your program and am quite happy with it. I would like to see a few more options when it comes to layout of target htmls. For example being able to move the "next and previous" links to the side or top of the displayed image. Also the ability to have file name or description placed along side the image rather than the bottom.

The initial index page with the thumbs is good. It would be nice to add information on that index page. Information like "page 1 of 3 thumbs" etc. Or to place some intro text explaining the album.

Aside from that I love the program. Easiest one I've used so far.

Thanks Jarle.

Peter,

Some of the things you've mentioned will be included in the next version. To position text next to the images, try this:

In the Advanced tab > HTML table formatting field, enter:

%Thumb%FName%desc

This will place the file name and description on the right side of the image.

Or you can try this one:

%FName%desc%Thumb

You can achieve many nice effects by creative use of HTML tags :-)

Mike,

Do please let us know when the product is published.

BTW the left-frame example is not ideal since the left frame is too narrow for the thumbnail image sizes used, and requires horizontal scrolling since the user is not permitted to resize the frame (friendly, constructive crticism)

Robin

will definately post something.

The samples are work in progress and there are a few things that need fixing before release. Thanks for mentioning it.

Easy to use? It's built in to "Word". (File, new, web page.)
