List your cool accessories....

Plastic bag, it is a must have here in Canada for when you come in from the cold. Always have one in my pocket.

It wasn't a pringles can but I can't remember what it came on. But it is essentially the same thing. You have to get careful to get the right kind of lid. You can see though the lid but it is kind of white. You can try different types of lids.

Yes I just hold it over the front of the lens like a cap. I take the hood off. I set the exposure for the lighting, place it on the lenses like a cap hit the WB button on the front of the E-1 and get an almost perfect WB everything.

The next time I go to the grocery store I will look for whatever it is that I am using and let you know. It really works well though. The reason I do it that way is because it's just easy to carry.

I am pretty sure that is off a pringles can.

I have a few of these lying around in what method do you use them
for acheiving correct WB i assume you use one touch but do you just
hold it on the end of the lens (like a lens cap) or is there any
other special technique to use

or gaffer tape
or roadie tape
or 100mph tape.

It has so many names, but I think it was originally called Duct tape, which became duck!

My sweet darling wife goes to the grocery store by herself most of the time, but the next time I go I will look for an item that has a top that can be used. If you can get the right top it's amazing what great WB you can get with the E-1 and the very handy one touch button. It's a lot more complicated with my new Canon equipment. I have to shoot a photo, go into the menu, select a photo (which I just shot) then set it as the white balance. I sold a bunch of Nikon stuff to get the Canon equipment (in the last few weeks) and Nikon was easier, but Olympus is by far easier to set. I have found that Olympus is much easier to use in a lot of ways. But the Canon gives me really good files even at 1600. The problem is the learning curve. I still hate having two systems. Where's that E-X.
Steve
My white card is about 4x6, fits in most photo bags pretty easily
but I am always open to ideas!

Sometimes I'm a minimalist and have trouble juggling a TC.

I found these and can carry my 2x tc and also drop my 1.4 in this with no worries.

cheap and effective. Just make sure it's clean ! could probably carry the 14-54 if you wanted too.

Maybe add a micro-fiber rag as a wrap ( no lint) to protect and keep the dust off.

Nice list,,,

I don't think they'll be wanting the Giotto rocket blower for the oly dslr's but maybe the more consciences would find it a great tool to blow off lenses,

( I use one to clean my 20d sensor and it is a real blast ,,, LOL)

Draydur,

My bad I forgot, of course the Gitto is not for an Oly DSLR, but for external camera and lense cleaning. Plus you can clean your laptop keyboard.

Thanks for the reminder. For other cameras it is a must.

Cheers, Bill
