Best PRICE for G2 in QUEBEC :) !!!

I'M a new G2 owner!!! Whoohoo! ;)

I know it's not reaLLy the big deal like you on the State (650-700$US)... but in Canada... there is no real deal to make but...

I got it at Futureshop (Sherbrooke, QC) with a nice LowePRO case (free) for 1244,99$ Can (799$US).

In fact they sell it at the same price then Henrys.com (1299.99$can) but because one dealer here at Sherbrooke is selling it at 1249,99$, Futureshop gave me 110% of rebate on the difference.

I mean:
1299 - 1249 = 50$ * 110%= 55$ of rebate.

So i have it for 1299,99 - 55$ = 1244,99$

What a nice camera!!!!!!
Gotta go try it now!!!

What is the Sherbrooke's store name that put it at $1249.99 ? Do they have a Web site also ? Going to Henry, you would have save one tax !!!

http://www.greytech.ca has it for 1,199 and you probably won't have to pay tax if you're out of the province(ontario), only gst.
 
Maybe (for the taxes)...

But i really really like Futureshop... :)

I take there 3 years warranty for my G2 and know me it's a really good deal!

The G1 is currently discontinued in Futureshop Canada, so if your G1 is broken, they replace it for a G2... and maybe a G3 (next year) :^)

"Maybe" my G2 will broke in 2 years or/and 3... just when the G4 or G5 will comes out... :^)

Know me it works! ;)

I already bought a Pionner DVD player from them and 8 month later i replaced it with a new one (better) for 0$! They don't ask you 10 questions, your equipement is broken, go choose an another one.

That's how it works :)

I've never ordered anything from them online, but they're actual
store is located approximately 10 minutes from my house so they are
legitimate thats how I found the webpage.

I am going to give them a call on Monday to see if they have it in stock. I live in Montreal so I wouldn't pay Ontario sales tax, only GST, so that would end up costing me C$1300 including S & H. Not too bad for Canada where there aren't too many great deals.

Did you know that Future Shop will price match internet prices? I think plus 10% of the difference. It'll be lower than $1,199. Check with them. And you have 30 days to return it for a full refund if not satisfied.

I might just do that although if I buy for $1199 in Ontario I don't pay Quebec sales tax. I just married off one of my kids so I am counting pennies for the next little while. BTW, I haven't seen any new pictures of yours recently. Your last batch was quite impressive.

To compensate for the Quebec sale taxes, i ll sell you a 128 Mb for 100$ with your G2 at 1199$, but in doing so i m in the ropes believe me!:)

I do believe you. What is Dumoulin's return policy? Is it similar to Future Shop's which I think allows you to retun it in the first month if there are problems?

I am enjoying the G2 very much and will post some pictures soon at pbase. I want to know what it will cost me to get another BP-511 battery and a 128 MB Flash card?

the problem with small stores like Dumoulin, they don't have lots of stock, and they won't give you a replacement quickly like Futureshop, I know of one here, and they never have anything in stock, and try to get your money back - impossible.

each of those stores if privately owned, so when you return something it's like you are stabbing the owner of that store.... dumoulin may be a good store, but they are very small stores.... anyway you take your chances.

As for the price of a BP511 and a 128Mb, i ll send you an e-mail later tonight...i don t give price at Dumoulin here anymore...but to you i ll be glad to serve you again,and i ll make sure that you won t go buy it at FShop :)

oh,

when I bought my G2 at FS, I got 2x128meg Sanddisk cards,
one for $100 and the 2nd for $130.

each was $159 reg. price.

Somebody on this forum told me they got $100 off the $1299 price at FS, ....AND ... got the same 2 - 128 meg Sandisk compact flash cards for $100 each !

anyway check it out.
