The price is great but:

They do not offer the international warranty, they offer a 90day/one year

They told me they are located in upstate NY, they are actually in Brooklyn (I don't understand that one at all)

Their user feedback leaves a bit to be desired...

Too bad, at their price of about $330 it would almost be a no brainer, but I am going to listen to my gut on this one and stay away from them......

Back in the olden (film) days many of us would not buy a camera from anyone we hadn't dealt with who was located in Brooklyn. Brooklyn used to be awash with slightly sleazy electronics/camera dealers. There is a current thread about this over in canon-land.

So, this might be why Prestige decided to use a more "respectable" upstate address.

Interesting, they told me the opposite.

I will stick with time2envy. Mack says they will definitely honor the warranty purchased from them on the F11, and they say their cams have an international warranty in the box. I would love to hear from anyone who gets a cam from them about that.
I called them - and they said they did not have any f11's in stock.

Best,
Jen

down to $313 now and in stock according to their website. Are they that bad?? Is a 90 day/1yr warranty that bad?

Tangental question: Is the manufacturer warranty honored in any country where the F11 is sold, or only in the country of sale?

Thanks...

David

I guess they bring these in without the fuji warranty, hence the better price, must be a deal through fuji on gray items, os something else I just have no clue about..

They told me this is standard on grey items, yet dynavision and time2envy are saying there is a 1 year international warranty. For the $47 more at time2envy I feel more comfortable, plus they have a much better customer satisfaction rating from what I have been told by another member on these forums.

I'd be wary of prestige camera - looks like it's hit or miss based on the rating and feedback I've read. And they weren't very professional when I spoke with them on the phone.

Based on this and that - I decided to buy the f10. It's under 300 bucks at b&h....When the f11 is "released" in the US - then perhaps I'll sell the f10.

I own the panasonic lx1 - which is a wonderful little camera - with lots of control - but it's a noisy camera over 100 iso. And a drebel....
If I didn't own the lx1 - I might have purchased the f11 from dynamism.

I don't have the time or the patience to deal with those shady Brooklyn dealers if there is a problem with the camera.

Best of luck to all!
