Just ordered F11

Well- I believe I have come to terms with a buyer for my F10.

I have continued my researching and this is what I have learned from Time2Envy as of early this evening.

No stock right now, but expected.

They will soon be able to list themselves as an authorized Mack seller-probably in the next day or so.

The Mack warranty takes effect after the initial Warranty. So, any Fuji warranty work would be dependent upon Fuji US accepting it or at least accepting to forward it to Japan. There seems to be some feeling they will-but that is best case. Worst case is shipping to Japan year one.

After that, Mack will kick in and you send it to them here.

It seems favorable that Mack or Fuji would be of help year one--but that remains to be seen.

As I noted before, Time2Envy also has a good reputation so I guess it comes down to pricing issues, and weighing longer warranty period against needing to possibly mail overseas.

I spoke to Time2 Envy after they said they called Mack directly. I also suggested they sell extra batteries and chargers and I think they will be sellling those as well. At least it would be 'one stop shopping'.

I have an extra battery and exterior charger from my F10.

I am waiting for my buyer's check to clear on my F10. I expect he and his wife will be very pleased.

And again, the good news is that usually right after I make such a decision, the a new model is announced or the camera gets offered in the US...

Can anyone believe how much work this all is???

Regards,
Linda

I too just ordered an F11, mine from the Singapore dealer mentioned by a previous forum participant. I was able to make the same deal he had given the previous person, i.e. $350 U.S. for the camera plus a 512 MB Series M XD PictureCard and a carrying case without extra charge. However the shipping was pretty expensive via DHL, an additional $68. U.S. Still the total comes out to only $418 including the large card and case, not bad.

I have yet to receive the camera, so this deal is not for sure, but the dealer was attentive on the phone and prompt in making the arrangements. The Singapore company is called Parisilk, and its contact info is:
Website: http://www.parisilk.com Email: [email protected]

I've just inquired from the dealer about the availability of an extended warrantee, but have no info yet.

I have had the pleasure of going through the same ordeal as you have when it comes to some gear we have to let go.

I also know that its the same thing as well with new stuff. Once you decided to buy something the newer model or a better model comes out.

I guess after such frustrations there is one thing i did learn - contentment.
But might i say its a difficult lesson to learn!

Best wishes on your new camera!

Post new pics k!

So how do you make an order from them though? This is a first time for me to see this seller. Do let me know the details. it wont show on the website. =(

Thoughtful reply. Thanks.

I think we are far too well off a population that this kind of thing becomes so comsuming.

We are a fortunate people. Something to remember at this time of year as we all go rushing and pushing and spending...

Let's enjoy our cameras, our families, our photos, and set aside something for those who are deliberating on more of life's serious issues.

Early Season's Greetings to all,

Linda

Hi Everyone,

It was brought to our attention that there are some questions about warranty on the F11, so we just wanted to clarify.

All F11s that Dynamism offers come with our own 1-year rescue service warranty. The 1-yr warranty can only be supported by Dynamism. If your item needs service during the warranty period, roundtrip Fedex from you (anywhere in the USA or Canada) to the service center in Asia, and returned to you, is paid for by Dynamism. (After the warranty period, the same service is available for a charge.) We also provide unlimited toll-free tech support, forever. These are standard services for products purchased from Dynamism. We also have a 30 day replacement policy, so any F11 that has early trouble is simply replaced with a new one (and the F11 is now shipping).

Thank you,
Ernest

Cheers on this note...

as Tyle Durden once said,

we are all consumers.

All in all many returns as well to all this season.

say cheese!

they are $100 more than other sellers...and you still get the warranty with the other seller....I do like the 30 day replacement, that is a great service, I like the shipping back and forth, but that is something I would be willing to pay for if I needed it..........I wish all of the sellers well for bringing in a needed item.

True, but then again, you have to purchase the MAck Warranty from an Authorized dealer though. Not that i dont trust the guy, but why isnt his name on the authorized dealers list? Besides, IMO if ever he was indeed an authorized dealer, then he would have that prearranged of some sort AND NOTE that as well on the bid.

There is notation that you can purchase it, but then no instructions afterwards. Confusing yes. Thats why i dont really cant help worry about it.

Dynamism? Although the price is a bit steep, i guess that comes with the package.

Like everything, you get what you pay for. of course thats the way i see it.

jormari, yes and no to your note...first, my understanding of MACK is that you can buy a warranty at anyplace that sells them, so I am not sure it has to be the dealer you bought the cam from, just within the one month time (I called them yesterday and they did not say there was a problem with any seller, hmmmm, maybe I will call again).

I am in sales and I believe if someone does extra work they deserve a premium, but this is really insurance and double insurance at that, one policy to japan, one to MACK...so I am not sure it is worth $100 to me, but it is something to think about for sure.

Did your camera come with the international warranty in the box?

Hope you are loving it.
Having owned the excellent Minolta 7D DSLR for the last year, I've
been searching for a P&S in anticipation of our first baby (7D's
too cumbersom for the wife). Also wanted to have a small camera
when bringing the 7D isn't feasible. I wanted a camera with good
low light abilities as I enjoy shooting without flash as much as
possible. Learned about the F10/F11 while doing research and was
dissapointed that the F11 wasn't available in the US yet (baby's
due Christmas). Did further research and found a reputable seller
on eBay where I was able to buy the F11 for $409.98 which includes
shipping and a 3 year extended warranty from Mack. The warranty
allows me to ship (for free) to Mack's US service center should the
F11 need service. I'll be buying a couple none type M xD cards to
play with. Any recommendations on xD cards would be greatly
appreciated.

Anyone interested in the same deal can look up the following link
