Well- I believe I have come to terms with a buyer for my F10.
I have continued my researching and this is what I have learned from Time2Envy as of early this evening.
No stock right now, but expected.
They will soon be able to list themselves as an authorized Mack seller-probably in the next day or so.
The Mack warranty takes effect after the initial Warranty. So, any Fuji warranty work would be dependent upon Fuji US accepting it or at least accepting to forward it to Japan. There seems to be some feeling they will-but that is best case. Worst case is shipping to Japan year one.
After that, Mack will kick in and you send it to them here.
It seems favorable that Mack or Fuji would be of help year one--but that remains to be seen.
As I noted before, Time2Envy also has a good reputation so I guess it comes down to pricing issues, and weighing longer warranty period against needing to possibly mail overseas.
I spoke to Time2 Envy after they said they called Mack directly. I also suggested they sell extra batteries and chargers and I think they will be sellling those as well. At least it would be 'one stop shopping'.
I have an extra battery and exterior charger from my F10.
I am waiting for my buyer's check to clear on my F10. I expect he and his wife will be very pleased.
And again, the good news is that usually right after I make such a decision, the a new model is announced or the camera gets offered in the US...
Can anyone believe how much work this all is???
Regards,
Linda
