Hi all. Looking for recommendations on a program to convert .ogg audio files to .wav.

I use ProShow Producer to save the files from cd's, which does a pretty good job, but I don't have anything other than Producer that will play them. I'd like to convert to .wav so I can preview them first.
Thanks.

DbPowerAmp Music Converter is freeware or at least DbPoweramp's site still seems to imply this to be the case. If not, perhaps you can still find a older freeware version. However, you do have to pay for the built in mp3 codec after a 30day trial.

I guess if he's never going to use it (dbPoweramp) for MP3, then okay maybe it can function free...

If converting the Ogg-WAV or vice versa is the only thing you need at all, then the simplest smallest and least invasive thing to use is the OggDropXpd one ( http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.html )

If I recall correctly it doesn't even install - you just download the relevant pieces, put them in one folder anywhere on your PC, run it and drag-and drop whatever you want into the program.

Its completely freeware too, so that's pretty much that.

But all those other would be pretty useful if you have more involved and varied needs.

Just go in and set the output plugin to the disk writer, hit play and it'll dump it out as a WAV. You can do this for any format it supports playing also, not just OGG.
