d200 sensor not a sony

i was under the impression that the sensor in the d200 was confirmed to be a sony, but i just heard from an australian supplier who had nikon rep in the store and says that the sensor in the d200 is not a sony one, he also said it was not a fuji. he basically told what it wasnt but not what it was. has anyone heard anything along these lines
 
it's a Sanyo hybrid like the D70's
