A detailed view of a Leica 90 Apo shot.

Why the multiple passes? Is this something to do with the scanner, Vuescan, or the noise reducer?

I tried Vuescan but was unimpressed with the watermarking - something I would like to have heard before I downloaded. Also, the colour was definitely off compared with the stock HP software.

I am fairly new to Viescan. I just downloaded it. I paid for the license thus I have no watermarks.

The multi pass was to achieve better dynamic range. The colors were quite better than the colors rendered by the minolta software. When I get the scanning under control, I think I will have better results. however, for showing the sharpness and detail, I think it did fairly well.

I'm making the leap from film and paper photography to digital. I need to post photos on the web for clients to review. Does anyone actually use a 3rd party watermarking software? Has anyone compared/used Watermarking Pro and or The Watermark Factory software?

I really like this lens and decided to post some sample shots withh
crops. This is not a scientific test, This is just showing what my
film and scanner rendered. Anyway, at least ts interesting to look
a.
I'm sure it makes a great print, but the crops at Ds II size do not (to me) seem to match the quality of DsII.
