OT: What was your first camera?

--
max...rolliflex twin lens reflex.

Nikon EM and 50mm 1.8. Used it exclusively for 20 years until I bought a 20D a year ago. Switched to Canon at the time because it was far superior to the D70 by Nikon.

it was a manual 35mm camera, still can be found roaming the camera market today

First SLR I ever owned was a Canon A-1 in high school (paper route good). I used my parent's cameras--an OM-1 and a Leica M-4 (drool)--while learning about light, aperture, and shutter speed...and saving my pennys.

The early '80's--when multimode meant either the Canon A-1, the Minolta XD (7 or M?), and a 35 mm Konica SLR.

Cheers--Spino

My first camera was a Kodak instamatic 104 with a flash cube, but shortly after I talked my father into giving me a Sears Tower 35mm that I used by setting exposure with the sunny 16 rule.

My first real camera was a Beautiful Konica Auto S2 (a black one) that cost $114, every penny I could earn at 14 years-old. I wish I still had that camera.

When I was about 13

Really loved it. Of course black and white got a little old. :(

I used to have a camera that took rotating flashcubes and strangely shaped film, I'm not sure what format it was, but it used to be popular in the 70s. Then I got a Kodak instant camera, and Polaroid stopped them from making film for it, then I got a Chinon point and shoot 35mm that I used for several years in the 90s, my first digital I threw out without even opening it, it was a 640x480 freebie from some spam company like AOL, and then I bought a 300D and later upgraded to a 20D.

One of the first cameras I had was a Kodak Disc camera. Do any of you remember those. I still have some negatives / prints from it in a shoe box but don't have the camera any more. I begged my parents for one when I was in elementary school and received it for Christmas. I sure had a lot of fun with it.
