Some people on here have expressed curiousity about how the SD550 performs with its underwater housing. Since I had a chance to play with this setup during a recent trip to Belize, I thought I'd share some of the photos (all were taken with the SD550; modifications done in PS for color correction and levels).

Very cool! I like the one with the reflection of the bottom showing on the top of the water (2 people in pic., one pointing to something).

Nice underwater pictures Greg.

I have just killed my S410 and have started looking for a replacement. The SD550 is high on my list. How well does "underwater mode" work? How did you correct white balance? Did you try the video functions underwater?

Thanks

Video function works great! I really enjoyed my underwater movies. It is also nice that you can zoom while taking movies.

BTW, I took my system down to 150 feet, worked like a charm. Most shots were taken in Underwater Mode, as that corrects for most of the color balance issues. Also, reducing the blue and adding red in PS helps.
