Annoying shutter lag on E300 or E500???

On occasion, the auto focus lags, but that is usually my fault when I don't find a vertical line for it to focus on. Once focus is locked, shutter is immediate.

No discernable shutter lag with my E-300. In fact, that's one of the reason's it's such a joy to use after being frustrated by my P&S which never seems to want to take a picture at the moment I want it to.

What they may be talking about is focus lag or something else, but it's not true shutter lag in the sense that word is used with digicams.

My guess is that whoever did the artiicle had inadvertently activated either the 2sec timer or the Antishock (mirror lock) and was so inept that they didn't realize it or know how to turn it off. My wife accidentally enabled the mirror lock on her first time using the camera while exploring the menus and didn't know what was wrong until I returned home from work.
She was a bit frustrated to say the least and didn't like the camera at all.

Chalk this one up to the Moron operating the camera and tell the idiots who wrote the article to READ THE FREAKIN MANUAL!
