I finally decided to go with the E10 and the P400. Ordered it on Friday from 17th St. Photo and it came Monday. Great price and great service. $500 dollar rebate too.

What a great camera! I'm enjoying it immensely. Feels like Christmas! This and the printer, too. Wow! I'm having a great time.

Next I would like to post some pics. Any suggestions on how to post on this site? Best resolution, etc.?

Thanks to everyone for answering my questions. This forum has really helped me decide on the E10.

for the day that I will get my E-10, or possibly E-20.
Why me!! Why me!! what have I done to deserve this.
I'm feeling sorry for myself again.
Congratulations Matt, you lucky devil. You are envied.

Congratulations on a super package, Matt! I bought the P-400 a few months ago to print shots from my C3000 and have enjoyed it very much. It's even better with the E-10! Only now and then do I wish I could print larger than 7.69ish x 10. Then I think, where would I put all those prints? My house is closing in as it is!!

Enjoy!!

Hello Matt,

Welcome to the club of "happy shooters" ...
(I wrote that also somewhere ;-)

The P400 is also a great printer. I'm using it for "quick" assignments (when the clients need to have the photos within a few hours).
The E-10 - P400 is a great combination.

For tips and tricks and more E-10 stuff, you're welcome to the E-10 pages on Belgium Digital ...

Regarding posting photos over here, you need to put them "somewhere" on the internet and use a link to them.

Enjoy your new equipment ...

Hi Matt,

Like the others have said, welcome!

I bought my E-10 from 17th St. Photo also. Very pleased with their service.

Will await some photo posts from you real soon!

Best wishes,

Hi Matt,

Just joining the mass' here in welcoming you aboard the E10 ride!

Like Jaja said. You'll need a website or some webhosting service to post pictures here. I personally use the space my ISP gave me. Check with yours and see how much room they give you.

Hope you get out often with your new jewel, and show us the treasure's you capture. (corny huh?) :o)

I am thoroughly enjoying this great camera and printer. However, I had a problem tonight trying to print a file that I edited in Qimage and copied to a compact flash card. No image appeared. I don't want to double post - I put the question up in the printers forum. If you get the chance, check it out and let me know if you had this problem. Thanks again and I look forward to posting some pics.

Matt, I'm real close to joing the e-10 club and will probably buy from 17th Street as well. Did your new camera come with the latest 130 firmware??

I got an E-10 and P400 Friday as well. I wanted to wait for the E-20, but with the price reduction and rebate, it the combo would have cost me $1000 more.

I would also like to know about checking for hot pixels. I don't think I have any,but have checked the firmware and it't 1.20. The Belgian.com website is terrific, good job.

First off - why would you edit in Q-Image and then save on CompactFlash?

You should edit in Q-Image and save on hard drive and just print from Q-Image via USB to the P-400 - works like a charm.

I've read here that when trying to save to CompactFlash outside the camera, you may encounter problems.

Hi Christopher,

You can check for hot/dead pixels with timed exposures. But why anguish yourself about them? My E10 has atleast one, and has had it since I got it back last Febuary. :o)

Unless you plan to take lot's and lot's of timed exposures, don't sweat the pixel issue.

The only timed exposures I might do is for fireworks or somethiing like that. So it will porbably be no big deal. However, I just did a quick test by taking a picture with the lens cap on. It was completely black. I am I okay or how could I test it otherwise?

You'll probably be okay.

Mine shows one at 2 seconds. Other folks around here know more about getting it precise, but I never worried enough to figure out how to do it. ;o)

The reason I saved to a card was because I didn't have the printer installed with my computer. Didn't know there would be a difference printing from the card or the computer (other than speed).

Also, my camera has one dead pixel I saw on one image. No big deal, I guess. The firmware is 1.20.
