Ok. I can write this now. On my Minlota A1 Anti Shake system stop working immediately after firmware update to 1.13e :-( I know – it sound like madness but that’s true! But that’s not all! With AS ON photo with exposure time 1s looks MUCH WORST than with AS OFF!!!! I must have AS OFF to get sharper image!!!!!!!!! That’s simply sucks!!!!! Is this any way to get 1.02e firmware again??????????????????

Yansen.

I'm not sure what you are experiencing but I have seen no sucj AS problem. after I read your post I quickly shot this

Full EXIF Info

Make Minolta
Model DiMAGE A1
Flash Used No
Focal Length 50 mm
Exposure Time 1/3 sec
Aperture f/3.5
ISO Equivalent 200
Exposure Bias
White Balance
Metering Mode multi spot (3)
JPEG Quality (6)
Exposure Program aperture priority (3)
Focus Distance 5 m

The only pp'ing of the raw I did was to boost the exposure in acr as the image was dark.

5 meters (15 feet) 1/3 sec handheld. to me it looks like the AS is working fine

1 second is generally too long for the AS-mechanism. Try shooting with a more realistic shutter time such as 1/50 - 1/10 seconds. Also remember the camera is reset to its default state during the upgrade.

Yeah, I think AS is very effective up to 1/3s (that is my experience anyway with A2 and 5D). Longer than that you should use tripod really (or at least maybe monopod).

KM always said that AS gice 2-3 stop advantage during normal condition and I would say 1s is a pretty long exposure and when you use it then the lighting condition ussually is short of normal.

Do I have to email any of the following A1 firmwares to you?

v1.02e or u or j size just over 1 MB
v1.10e or u size just over 1 MB
v1.12e or u or j
v1.13e or u or j

Hi,

this is a VERY old thread in the forum, but I´ll try anyway :-)

I have bought a Dimage A1 on local market but with firmware 1.02, is there any chance you can help and still have firmware 1.12e og 1.13e for this old camera?

kind regards

1.13e is for the DiMage A2 , the current/final firmware for the DiMage A1 is 1.12e .

It can be downloaded here ; https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=23&v_code=9120

Click the download link and a new tab will open with three links to other servers with the firmware stored on them .

Ignore the link to Minolta's website because they've dropped support .
