How to convert your digital camera into a webcam

i would like to know if it is possible to convert your digital camera into a webcam for videoconferencing over the internet. And if yes, what are the procedures or additional cables i need... Please enlighten me on this--It doesn't matter who you are,it's the thought that counts

Digicams that support video are not usually designed for your intent.

The video function is usually limited to recording either x number of seconds or the maximum camera image storage space available, with the results being written to file, which must me manually transferred to somewhere else.

If you want a web cam, there are models available from $20 and up. There is usually some software included to assist you in achieving your goal.

I have got a Oly 3030z. I asked Olympus support the same question and theire answered were, -No, it's not possible.
