I had a chance to get really close to one of these in Tarifa, where wind blows quite hard. Here is one made with my new sigma 10-20:

Pretty neat. I am surprised at the range of brightness in the gradient in the sky. What time of day was that taken?

The time was 16:42 , here at Spain means 2 hours before sunset. I increased contrast and adjusted levels, the original looks quite different in fact
