D200 price in Germany is 1699.-EUROs

Hi,

I don´t understand where all the wrong and missleading information about the price in Europe came from.

The price of the D200 will be 1699.-EUROs. That´s from Nikon.de not a street price or anything - it´s the price Nikon named for the camera it´s a suggested resale price.

And that translates into 2050.-USD which is definitely not a bad thing considering the features.

These prices include the taxes.

Maybe the folks who asked for at least 12-16 MP, FF, DR like S3, built in GPS, .... and that all for less than 1.500.-USD should take a step back into the real world.

Without seeing a high - ISO image we all can just look at the specs now. And these specs look amazing.

1699 € with 16% German MwSt (=VAT) is the same as 1465 € +VAT. And that is only 3,3% more than the US suggested price (1700 USD).

I do not that much care about high ISO, just a sharp fine ISO 100 that is better than S3 with detail and color (hopefully) and I can forget about the S3 (maybe will buy S4 if it has more res, Fuji´s slow speed is not an issue for me...;-)
