I am interested in doing some studio portrait shots and still life shots with my S75. Can anyone tell me if its sync connector will allow me to use some of the popular studio lighting kits available?

Thanks.--A.J.

No an adapter does not exit to my knowledge.

That is my biggest issue of buyer's remorse in the purhcase of my S85.

Ivo...thank you for the great resources. Seems like yet another reason or justification to move up to a Prosumer SLR like a Canon D30.

Thanks for your help.

Like all Sony digicams only the Sony HVL-F1000 can be connected.

A possible solution is a slave flash:

you should also look seriously at the Photoflex Starlites. The are 'hot lights' that come with soft boxes. You can get great results from these and they aren't that expensive compared to studio flashes.

The kit comes with the light (runs on regular 120V), light stand, bulb and softbox.
