R1800

The Epson online Store http://www.epsonstore.com is selling the R1800 for $549 minus $100 discount and free shipping.

I hope I can also take advantage of the $50 rebate for purchasing a new digital camera (Olympus SP-350) So I hope my out of pocket cost is $549-$150= $399.

I want to be able to take advantage of the 8MP camera with a wide format printer. I was basically scared away from the R2400 because of the reports of gloss differential, the street price $800, and the fact that I dont do any (at least as yet) B&W printing.

Also I have yet to see any prints made with the R2400 at the local CompUSA store, even when they have an Epson rep in the store they dont seem to know about the fine points.

I purchased the R1800 based on the good number of reviews from this site. Thanks all.

450$ is a bargain ! I don't think you can add the two rebates, here in europe, the cheapest price I can find is 530 euros (630$) !!!! I wish I can buy it at the price you said, just consider yourself lucky

Search the Printing or Epson forum for a coupon code that goes with the rebate. A gentleman posted it the other day. It's good for another 10% off the price of the R1800 on Epson's site.

Put in code FS3E for the additional 10%.

Make sure you replace as many ink cartiridges as possible when you replace them! That is directly from Epson tech support. Because when you replace a cartridge, all existing tanks lose 3% of their ink.
