Still using the 24-70mm f/2.8L to ensure it's me and not the lens that's problematic. Seems awesome on some shots, yet misfocuses on others. Hoping it's just me and I need more practice. Too cold & wet out to shoot outdoors.

Trying to figure that out myself. lol. Maybe I focused on 2 different spots and didnt realize they look the same at this size (till now). I didn't really look at them at the web size...just posted 'em.

What's the difference between these two shots?

You didn't say whether you're looking for comments and criticism, but I'll assume you are.

1. I don't like this pose. Your model looks uncomfortable, as if he's going to fall over to his right (camera left).

2. His ear piercing (the Pooh tag) is distracting.

3. What focal length did you use? From this perspective, your model's nose looks unflatteringly large.

4. This might be my uncalibrated monitor, but I think there's a cold color cast. Your model seems blue.

Otherwise, I think this is an excellent portrait. You've really captured the model's personality. And I must be just as bored as you.

LMAO. Thanks for that. I'm trying to convince him to do nudes (go tagless).
