I've migrated from a 300D (1st SLR camera) so most of my lenses our EFS lens from canon and a Digital lense from Sigma.

As the 5D doesn't support digital lenses, can you guys pls recommend some full frame lens.

I've heards about the Tamron AF28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical, how about a Sigma/Canon eqivalent? pros and cons

I really liked the kit lens that came with the 300D, so would like something similar.

I usually take landscape photos and a bit of portraits.

The 5D is considerably pickier about lens quality than the 300D. Fortunately, there's a pretty wide range to choose from. To duplicate your kit lens, the Tamron is worth consideration, as are the Canon 24-85 USM and 28-135 IS USM. You will probably need to stop them down quite a bit to get sharp corners, especially at the wide end. I would certainly avoid the real cheapies, and give real consideration to e.g. the 24-105/4.0 IS L, if it's within your budget.

Best lenses are the "L" lenses are primes will be better than zooms if getting the best quality out of your 5D is your goal.
