Just received my A610

on the A510 its in the bottom, maybe it's more visible because there's no plexiglas protection on LCD, but right in front of LCD (at 90 degrees) I can't see these lights.

I saw the same thing on a 620 I looked at. They didn't seem to move to the bottom, unless of course I flipped the LCD. :)

Well gee ... I don't have those on my A620. Are they light spots that have color loss on the LCD?

My A610 doesn't have any white spots in the LCD.

These spots are from poor light distribution in the LCD backlight.

Unfortunably LCD's don't have a uniform backlight distribution and in severe cases you can see white spots.

This depends from unit to unit, if you are not confortable with it and it's easy to replace the camera, just hand pick one.

Be aware that I have these diferent problems in my unit:

Quality control could be better.

And I bought one with an LCD that doesn't work at some angles - it goes all white with scattered horizontal black lines. I will return it, of course. But there do seem to be some quality control issues with this line.

It takes really nice photos, though.

They are on both cameras in two spots. It's just the backlight it's very uniform in the same location on both cameras 610 and 620.

It's all good ...
