A good start would be to read the manual completely. Run through all the menus and settings several times to get a feel for it. Once you have a basic understanding of what the camera's settings are capable of, then you can pose specific questions. What you are asking now is just to vast for anyone to provide you with the information. They'll be able to give you bits & Pieces & hints, but you have to know how to apply this information and reading thru the manual several times will give you a better understanding about what others are trying to tell you.

Digital Zoom: OFF

ISO: 100 will render the best picture quality under most circumstances but if you leave it on AUTO, it will change to a higher ISO in order to get a picture you might otherwise not get. Personally, I leave my setting at 100 and manually change it to a higher ISO in the rare event I need to do so.

Slow or Slow2: I believe this refers to the flash method. This is normally used in very low-light fill flash situations in which long exposure times are used. The manual has very good descriptions of this.

thanks you help a lot .

try using the camera in auto mode for a day and get used to it,then slowy experiment with some of the program modes,i use sports mode alot because of the faster shutter speed and it helps counter act camera shake,iv'e had my c700z almost 2 weeks and i still have a ton of features to learn, most of all take lots of pics and experiment thats what it's all about and have fun..Keith

I am new to digital photography. Whatever the languages it is, we are all here to discuss and learn, aren't we?

May I urge all the C700uz photographers to post your URL of your online Album here, so that all of us can benefit from each others work?

will upload my pics tomorrow and hope you guys give comments.

Cheers

I've just opened mine, and so far I have only two pictures there, at http://pbase.com/ernobe/c-700 . I'm thinking that soon I'll be posting a-lot more pictures taken with ISO 800 just so that those who don't have a C-700UZ can get a taste of what they're missing. There seems to be a-lot of confusion about the benefits of ISO 800, people only mention its negative side, but when used well it can take the best pictures of any camera.

That is fine, as long as we understand what is written, otherwise if people start posting in foreign languages those threads become private exchanges. That's all, and no need to be miffed about it. Some times people read more than what is really there (and wonder what can happen if written in a foreignlanguage :-)).

Hi! Thanks for sharing!

I have some ISO800 shots too, but I don't have my USB cable with me now and can only upload tomorrow..

In the meantime, I can only showcase some of my very first attempt with my C700 in daylight conditions.
