First let me say thanks for posting the pictures and enjoy your new camera. I only looked at the third photo. Is this straight from the camera? Even for ISO 200 I see a lot of artifacts. I am hoping you PPed a little and when saving you compressed too much. When reduced to screen size it does look nice and sharp though.

All 3 pics are straight from the camera. No PhotoShop or other processing. All 3 were taken with full Auto.

When I left clicked on the image and selected properties, it said the image was something like 480x640 pixels, but I didn't try downloading the image.

So, based on the quality of these images, is there any showstoppers I should worry about, before I decide to keep this camera?

Wait since 10 minutes and loaded ony 13% yet. It looks like Yahoo is not supporting fast connections.

It's very difficult to tell the quality of a photo from a computer monitor screen, and I don't know the quality of your Yahoo carrier. Hopefully these two things are to blame, I hope it's not Fuji's fault, but, -there is an extream amount of unacceptable distortion.

it would be very interesting to see how the E900 performs with 80 and 100ASA.

BTW, You can download the full size file via the download button. Pls refrain from making judgements based on tiny 480x360 preview pics.

After loading picture two and three I must say that in general they look quite good to me. I have noted some blur on the left side of the pics, mostly visible in the corners. I am wondering what the cause for this could be, as nothing is visible onthe right side. Maybe an adjustment problem, very minor though.

Thanks a lot for posting the shots. Definetly another piece in my decision making process. :-) Still I will wait for other samples (different ISO) and go for own testing.

Cheers,
Frank

Hi. Do you have any higher ISO samples taken with this camera? I would like to see ISO400 and ISO800.

After downloading, I opened it in PhotoShop CS2 and looked at levels. It needed just a little levels adjustment plus some added contrast and increase in saturation. I saw little in the way of noise, artefacts, or fringing.

I placed my order from Dell thru http://www.justdiscounted.com last Friday. They have a special going with coupon discounts on line and the total price including shipping is $426.01.

Interesting that you go for the E900 even if you already have quite a portfolio of dsc. I just decided to go for the Sony V3. One main reason was that I could really test it, while the E900 was not available yet

May I ask what you would expect from the E900 that the V3 cannot deliver, except the 2 MP? I really do not doubt that the E900 would be any worse, but I am just courious how the decision process worked. :-)

Cheers,
Frank

So the extra 2 megapixels will be very useful.

I downloaded the second pic, it came as a bmp, that I dont understand, but I also noticed the uper left side focus blur but its sharp on the right side.

I noticed a fair bit of purple finging on the upper portion between around the margins of green leaves against the white back ground.

Otherwise, it looked ok to my untrained eye. I sure would like to see some higher ISO's like 800 without a flash, if you take any, please post. So far I think the pic boads well for the E900

The samples do not impress me. There are a lot of grins in the picture. I am not sur e if it is due to ISO200 or over processing in the picture. I checked a few S9000 reviews ( which have the same sensor, I belive). It got similar comments. The F10 samples from dpreview.com look much cleaner.
