A break from camera talk - baby names!

I wanted to name my boy Valder or Maximillian, but the P's threw a fit...of course. We ended up with Connor Jeremiah. Yeah a popular one here in the US the wife liked. Oh well.

Of course he is seven now and wished we would have named him Luke or Anakin...go figure big Star Wars fan.

Either way great looking kid you have. Think about the times that you will work with him on things or when your mad...which name flows best....last thing you want is a name you'll trip your tongue on when he is acting up.

Thanks Paul. If you look closely, there are safety lines to keep the train up there, but we will not be running it unsupervised. Also, it is setup to move very slowly. But definately good advice to be extra cautious. I guess I went as overboard on the room as I do on camera stuff and other hobbies. :)

he's very cute

and no, I will not suggest Dynax as a name :)

all the best to all in your family

I like Benjamin, its a favourite name.
Dakota is a popular name here in the states.
Congratulations and good luck!

I say stick with solid EASY TO SPELL names like

Jack Steve Will (slipped my own in) Bob Ted Carl Don Ed Frank
George Henry John Joe Ken Mike Nate Paul

or you could go

LaDanian Shaquil Orpheus Laquil Nyquil Shaquir

try NYC names like

Irving Barry Stanley David Rocco

or by the time your kid is grown and we have a Latin president
and our flag is red white and green you could try:

Jose, Manuel, Jesus Carlos Juan

or you could just make one up and do a blended cultural name

Li-Juan Jin-Jose Shaquir-Ho Manchu-Joe

or try some cool made up names

Lexxus Foxxir Motabe Rockin R-U-Dar

I would just sick with John or Joe. Can't go wrong with those
names:
1. People know how to pronounce the names
2. People know how to spell the names.
3. You son will not have to go through life trying to explain the name.

will kelly

I like it. But if you want an english version it should be Tristram as in Morte D'Arthur as tristan is french.

You can't seem to kill it! Not a bad trait for a human to have!

Zippy? Chuckletrousers? Ok, maybe too long. Roulette (maybe better for a girl). Zebra (nice sound to it). Blake (after the visionary poet). Blue? China? China Blue (and then your last name)? Saturn? or even Mars (but not Uranus!). Zygot is kinda cool. Malcolm?

I ended up having 6 girls: Camille, Corrine, Taijel, Danubia, Bernadette and Frida. We had Kublai, yes, Kublai from Kublai Kahn. But then, I've got a bunch of Chinese blood in me. I thought Kubi would be a good nickname. The original Kahn is in most historian's 10 most influential people in world history, having developed the postal system, his ambassador to Europe was Marco Polo and of course, he was that rare combination of military genius, politician and administrator. He ruled most of Europe and Asian after his grand dad kicked everyone's butt......

...but that picture makes the name Mickey (Michael) come to mind

Congrats on the kid. May he have a long happy life - or in the very least a good name. ;-)

Any perceived rudeness, condescending tone, or insults are not intended, but rather the result of my inability to properly express myself with the written word.

name him sue just like in the song ..lol it will make him tougher
Firstly, I guess I should say I am now the proud father of a 2nd
little boy (born 2:35am wednesday morning :-)

My fiancee's initial thoughts were along the lines of Brandon, Kyle
and then some stranger ones like Dakota (strange to me as we're
English, but I could see that appealing to our american neighbours
for obvious reasons :-)

We both like Tristan - although I think we're only about 98% sure,
and the poor lad will have to live with his name so we better get
it right! :-)

His older brother is called Kaiden.

Help?!?! He's 3 days old and needs a name!!
