Telephoto Lens Choices & Thoughts

Thanks to all those that have responded to my post, you guys have given me enough information that I have narrowed it down to two lens...

Nikon 80-200 f/2.8 ED-AD Zoom

Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX, APO, HSM, IF, DG Zoom

Any particular thoughts before I drop my hard earned cash on one of these monsters?

Heh, take your pick. I just asked this question myself and did a VERY thorough search across these forums and the web.

My main conclusion, the Sigma is good enough til I can afford the VR.
