The next ACR update will be out very soon and there isn't any reason KM 5D will not be included.

..you can do it yourself with the version of CR that supports the 7D.

You can easily fix the plugin in a hex editor. Just replace 7D with 5D inside the binary. It works for me with CS1. I bet it's working the same way with other versions. I can send you fixed binary for CS1 if you need it.

I had done the hex edit patch a few days ago and it does work. Minolta had informed me - online tech support via email - that the RAW files stored by the 7d and 5d are different. I wonder if the only difference is the camera name.

The format of the RAW sensor data hasn't changed between the 7D and the 5D (that's the reason a hacked ACR can read the 5D .MRW files), but several changes have been made to the EXIF info.
BTW: Dalibor is currently updating his tools (MRWFormat and Dalifer, see http://www.dalibor.cz/minolta ) to support the 5D.

Unzip file and put it in the Plug-Ins/File Formats directory to replace old camera raw.8bi.
Again, this is updated latest version of CameraRaw plugin for CS1. It won't work with CS2 or any other PS versions. Also PS will be unable to read 7D raws after this patch.

my temp fix is fine, but not sure if its missing any 'features' or getting colours etc slightly off (doesn't appear to be).

Can't get any response from the Adobe server and the update though mentioned and given links on their updates page is not available. Odd.
